Plans
Prices are in New Taiwan dollars (NT$) and charged by card in NT$; your card issuer converts the amount.
Which plan for your trip?
- Taiwan stopover of a few days, then on to Southeast Asia: 5GB / 30 days covers maps, messaging and social media for the whole trip.
- Video, streaming or sharing a hotspot: 10GB / 30 days.
- Short trip, heavy use: the unlimited plans give 1GB of high-speed data a day, then 1 Mbps for the rest of the day.
Good to know before you buy
- Days start counting the first time the eSIM connects in any covered country. Start using it within 180 days of purchase.
- Live in one of the covered countries? Keep this eSIM's line turned off until you land, or it may start counting at home.
- Your connection exits through Singapore, so websites and apps see a Singapore IP address. A few region-locked services may act as if you're in Singapore.
- In Bangladesh and Cambodia the network is 4G only.
- Data only — no phone number. Keep your own SIM on for calls and texts, with its data roaming turned off.
- Not installed yet? These plans can be fully refunded within 30 days of purchase.
Questions
Is there a Taiwan-only eSIM?
+
Not at the moment. The Asia (14 countries) plan is the one that covers Taiwan, and it keeps working if you continue to other countries on the list.
Which networks does it use in Taiwan?
+
Chunghwa Telecom and Taiwan Mobile. Your phone connects to whichever one is available.
When should I install it?
+
Before you leave, on Wi-Fi — days only start counting when it first connects in a covered country. Already in Taiwan? Connect to airport or hotel Wi-Fi, buy and install it there.
Does my phone support eSIM?
+
Dial *#06#: if an EID appears, it does. The phone also has to be carrier-unlocked.
